Arnold K. "Arnie" Altsuler brings
a wealth of experience and knowledge to his role as President & CEO of Coldwell
Banker Commercial Uptown. Altsuler received a BBA degree from The University of
Texas at Austin, and a JD degree from South Texas College of Law in Houston.
In the late 1970's, Altsuler was primarily involved in the brokerage of investment properties as well as various areas of development. Following Houston's economic collapse of the 1980's, Altsuler was among the first land developers to reenter the residential lot development business, and continued to do so well into the 1990's, before taking his current position with Coldwell Banker Commercial Uptown. Along with land development and professional consulting, Altsuler's firm represents clients as purchaser's representative in the search for owner occupied business facilities as well as represents sellers of similar properties on an exclusive basis when requested to do so by the client. Recently enlarged offices in Houston's fashionable Uptown area has allowed Altsuler to expand in various investment areas including multi family apartment brokerage, retail and shopping center brokerage, and the Internal Revenue Code 1031 tax deferred property exchange division.
Residential development interests in Mexico continue to grow with the recent engagement to manage the project planning, development and marketing of a 340 acre historical tract of land in Queretaro, Mexico http://listing.loopnet.com/14108433. Currently the company is examining two other major opportunities, one in the development of a significant portion of an existing resort community in Cozumel, Mexico, as well as a separate seaside parcel for initial development on the island.
Arnie and his wife Joan E. have spent their entire married life in Houston, Texas. They have two grown sons, a lawyer in Houston, specializing in civil litigation, and a merger and acquisition investment banker in San Francisco, specializing in media ventures. Arnie and Joan E. became grandparents for the first time in 2002 and again in 2004. |
